Is that unique knickknack 'Trash of Treasure?'

For those of you, like me, who've never been able to attend an Antiques Roadshow show.....

ALLENTOWN ART MUSEUM TO HOST “TRASH OR TREASURE?”

Bring your own collectibles to find out their worth!

Allentown — Join the Allentown Art Museum at Symphony Hall for our home-grown version of ‘Antiques Roadshow’ on Wednesday, June 8, 5:30–8:30 p.m. Think you have a rare gem in your collection or maybe just a unique knickknack lying around the house? Bring your antiques and collectibles to the Rodale Room at Symphony Hall and find out whether they are “Trash or Treasure!”

Our lead experts for the evening will be David Bausch for toys and automobile artifacts; Robert Bungerz for collectibles such as china, silver and other decorative arts; Mary Ann Faust for textile costumes (clothing); a representative from Rover Antiques of Hellertown for estate jewelry; and Boris Wainio for American paintings, sculpture and works on paper. Come for fun and learn from the experts, or bring up to two items for review and appraisal.

Entry is free for museum members; $10 for non-members; $5 per object to be appraised. Register early if you intend to bring objects for review. Experts will be providing verbal appraisals only. For more information, call 610-432-4333 ext. 129.
